iPad Creativity
This session is an opportunity to master video, audio, animation and digital photography on the iPad. The iPad offers tools for all of the production processes from, planning and storyboarding to recording and editing as well as presenting and using an autocue. We will look at iMovie and green screen, creating and publishing radio/podcast style projects and approaches to animation.  The skills gained can be applied to cross curricular projects. There will be attention to combining apps to create more sophisticated projects that stretch more able learners.

iPad and SEN
This hands on session will explore how the iPad’s built in “Accessibility” tools can be used to support learners. The iPad offers a great range of tools that can be personalised to meet the needs of learners with hearing and  visual impairment. We will look at simple set ups that can quickly managed by the teacher or learning support assistant and have a positive impact on the learner. For example, we will explore text to speech, speech to text as well as how we can make Siri fun and helpful in the classroom.  The session will also highlight the tools that support visual impairment, from zooming the screen to managing font sizes and closed captioning. We will look at a range of free and apps to purchase that will help the SEN teacher and engage the learner.
